Happy Birthday Toyspeed

Postby Chelles » Thu Nov 27, 2008 6:14 pm

Seems none of the old school Toyspeeders have remembers it's our birthday this month :P

Yup Toyspeed turns 9 this month.
Been an interesting 9 years I must say... seen our ups and downs, along with many people coming and going. The scary things is I've here for all of of those years! 8O

Next year we turn the big 10 so I reckon next years MegaMeet should be the big celebration. What ya reckon... I'll even drag out the photos from the very first meet we had, was a crack up and some other photos of the first couple of years we got this thing of the ground. Fun times

Happy Birthday Toyspeed :D

A toast to Ben, aka Wildcard for startin the place!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

A toast to Looonie you mean... His idea to start 'Toyspeed'.
Five started it, all had different skills and talents to help it on the way... Wildcard was the forum guru, the rest of the 'place' was a bit of a collective effort. Ahh those were the days... young and full of excitment :D

It all started from a little place in the states called 'Club 4AG' forum, that is where we all used to go for our info on the mighty 4AGE back then. It was recognised that there were a few form NZ so ... ta-da Toyspeed. :D

Yup about 6 or 7 years now, give or take.
