Where to buy - Muffler

Postby Boosted_162 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 8:49 pm

Wanting to replace that annoying cannon thing on the back of the RC. Want to replace it with a twin tip muffler similar to the stock one, just a little larger. Found a pic on trademe of one on a car, but cant find one for sale!!

A brand name or something would be great, or one for sale even better!!

The one at the top looks alright.

The one linked looks terrible, the bolts for the silencers etc

Like you say, for $79 what can you expect. Apart from it probably sounding like ass i'm sure it would be fine. I'd spend more $$$ and get a decent brand.

Try Chase distributors (www.chase.co.nz) (cant remember the fancy bling muffler brand they stock)

Or possibly get thesee guys to weld you something up in stainless

Cheers for the sites!!

RD41675 looks like it might be a goer. 2.5" inlet, 2x2" outlet. Hopefully nice and quiet as well :)

Will need to give Chase a call :D

They are local here.

They did my manifold, and the mufflers for dads GT40 etc etc.

Good to deal with.

I too would like to know where to get a muffler like in the first picture posted, or failing that one with a single 3" tip and 3" inlet, with a small-ish profile. All the 3" mufflers in the style I like are far too large to fit where it needs to fit.
LOUD NOISES!!!
