Link Ecu Looms and upgrade

Postby thegreatestben » Mon Nov 09, 2009 11:01 pm

Looking at swapping the Links I've got between my corolla and my mr2.
The Mr2 has a V5 and the Corolla a G3.

The mr2 is also still running Dizzy and coil, where as the corolla has Wasted spark coils and DLI. The corolla runs alot better than the mr2 and the ignition has to be ALOT better right?

I got a quote from link for new looms required, and I have an autosparky who could be keen to do the work.

z2ML G1 LEM 2m Loom 1 $150.00+gst
2ml G3 LEM G3 2m breakout loom 1 $108.00+gst

Are these reasonable prices? I don't know if thats standard retail or not.

Is it worth it?

Nope, I just need to wrangle some funds then get stuck into it.
Might skip putting the v5 into the corolla afterwards and just part the corolla out
