I wonder how many (if any) have been pre-sold by now. Nice enough car but a price of a bee's dick under NZ$500000 ...I wonder who their target customer is.

yeah but those guys would probably go for a Lambo, McMerc SLR, Bentley etc...
this seems to be a car for the Ipod generation, the same people that bought the latest GTR, but with crapload more money, who still dont want anything European. I'm just wondering whether the target market for the LFA actually exists

I'm sure there are 500 people out there with enough money who see the car for how it performs and not from where it comes from :)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

These sort of cars are meant to be driven, most of people who buy these cars are buying them for status. I don't think they deserve these cars.

I remember reading somewhere about some dude in the middle east with a collection of a few hundred luxury and performance cars, and there were pretty much sitting there falling apart...

Nurburgring Killer last good article I saw of this they apparently turned up at a supposed heavy hitting Euro car session gave the keys to there 67 year old Nur Mister Hiromu Naruse and he slaughtered every car going on the day Bmw Mercedes Porsche the lot.So the car is an absolute track weapon.

Nah, I have been brought up as a communist ;).
But, seriously, when some one born into extreme wealth, do they do something about this shitty world? Nah, they buy sports cars on weekly basis. Lets just build extravagant hotels in middle of desert, and islands out sand that need to be maintain 24/7. And funny thing is that there some stupid people who buy these islands. Idiots with money.
When you have lots of money I guess you don't need brains.

my uncle has the largest collection of Rolls-Royces in the southern hemisphere

only 2 models he doesn't have i think, one of witch was a car only given to royalty and people of great importance.. missed out on it because he couldn't justify almost a million $$ on it... so the next year he goes and buys a new rolls-royce phantom for a little over a mill...

me and my mate were aloud to have a look at them, touch them and even sit inside them!!

i wish i was in his will!!

oh and pics cause it did happen

to add to what i sed because i got a bit sidetracked is yes he colects them but he still drives them all atleast once a year, as im sure there are other colectors who will get the lfa, they might not drive it as often as wouldbe hoped for but aslong as they get driven and occationaly thrashed it will be good (hence why they are only leasing them for the first 2 years) and hopfuly it works out wwell and lexis carys on the line with more moddles to come, would be a shame to see all that devuopment wasted i see a great poenchail here

again gone off on tangent but braught it back on topic

TOYOTA RULES!!

It would be a shame for a car like the LFA to be locked away like that and only driven for limited Kms as I no Lexus/Toyota have not build these cars for that intention as I'm sure you'll be able to do Toyota Corolla Ks in them and they'll just purr along unlike other Hypercar makers whose products break down and have to be repaired and fixed every 2000 ks this is how confident I am with Toyota engineering as long as you don't change to much of what Toyota have spent Millions on you'll be sweet.

A more track orientated version is being planned for this car apparently revised adjustable suspension a fixed rear wing weight saving semi slick tyres 10 more HP upto 560 odd and more torque which all adds upto a quicker version just like the Spec V GTR I guess and I'm sure the price tag will reflect that aswell.
