hey boy's and girl car enthusiast out there,

TVNZ are doing a documentry on boyracers,
they are blocking plates.

Hoping to get good group to train down to the drag strip on friday night and
need all boy racers at key street this sat night, for this doco.
plates r getng wiped so get skid tires ready and races show whats auckland drags r abowt
also on sunday cornwallace, they wanna doco on how we are out of the boy racer seen..

Friday meet at new lynn car park by Burger King around 7 to convoy down to meremere!

saturday meet key street around 10- 10:30 ish then go from there.

I'm supposed to be involved in this, but in a more actual involved way. A few of us were contacted to be filmed, interviewed and followed around to show what the scene is about.
They are meant to be filming our trip to night wars and interviewing then.

Apparentally they wana show the public the good side of it. They even asked if any of us are involved in real motorsport and want to get some of that footage to I think.

I can't make it though, but by the sounds of $&#$% like this one it's going to be ruined.

im sure it would of been a perfectly good doco if they followed the actual people that are there to have a bit of fun at the strip but then the hoolagons got wind that there will be cameras and also the fact they are blanking out any plates so its just going to be a skid fest now on public roads.

I had this issue last year at high school. All these dicks in their rugged non turbo skylines and cefiros ripping skids outside school. Makes me and the other 3 odd guys with nice old school toyotas who put our available cash and time into our cars, look like equal dropkicks..Trying to making our cars nice not illegal death traps. "just chuck some cutties in ow bae." how about nah

I hope TVNZ tapes the positive side of the car scene and not the odd few who ruin it for us all in their cef's on makita one way adjustables and phat bikkies yo.

It would be nice for the media to see us in a good way for once.
