I don't see any reason against it, but in past Toyspeed was sufficient for my ST205 needs...

hmm i would have thout seting up a site that revolves around them would be pretty helpful, useful for everyone input etc on problems bla bla, a friend of mine has collected around 40 plates of the st205's in nz etc trying to build a database good to know how many are around, i dont see why it cant cover all gt4 ie 185's 165 205s etc..im not one to exclude :)

my email is
so yeah, flick an email, so maybe i can compile a list, talk with friends, get some intrest.. :)

also good if after parts etc, i know of people with a few things that may be useful to sell on to others? i have a spare st205 bonnet, things like that that others may need or want to buy etc..theres a uk one im on out there which is very good, but would be good to get a nz one going!

I'd been working on a little website in the past for like a gt4 register, where members can find eachother, check eachothers projects, buy and sell, organise meets, etc. didn't see any point in having its own forums though as 6gc, gt4oc and toyspeed are enough forums as it is

didn't think there would be enough interest in it?

Maybe I'll suggest new subforum on 6gc, for New Zealanders?

also 21 members from last count. viewtopic.php?t=57529&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=140

I believe we have passed the peak of GT4 numbers about 3 years ago.
The numbers are already diminishing, since you cannot import them any more.
In a few years GT4 will become an obscurity, most of the ST205 owners will move on to something new, while many ST205 will become victims of sideways cap wearing idiots who will wrap them around nearest pole.

How many ST165s you see on the road now? A few years ago you would see at least one ST185, but now it also became a rarity.

Of course there will be dedicated long term owners (like me, running rich and others), but numbers for NZ only club will be very minute in the long term.

Even I consider upgrading to 2008 Impreza STI in near future...

When I was experiencing the agony which is the ST205 I found 6GC to be a useful forum, seemed to be few NZ members on there.

GT4 and Celica is a an acquired taste which is overlooked by those who don't know, but is thoroughly appreciated by those who know.

Looks isn't for everyone, I personally love it

The machinery is 1 piece of excellent engineering and a very good package right out of the box, with excellent potential.

It's those who can appreciate these things time and time again (this is my 3rd Celica) that would be right for such a club.
