WOF Not Entered Into System

Postby BZG Wagon » Wed Jul 20, 2011 1:31 am

Just looked my car up on carjam & it says my warrant expired 4 months ago... However I have a valid WOF sticker from vtnz saying otherwise.

I presume vtnz didn't process my wof through the system correctly.

What's the deal if I get pulled over? I imagine I'd still get fined for their mistake? Can vtnz also fix this given the time since it lapsed?

Check the date of the carjam report (from memory its in the top line next to the vehicle description). To save money they are caching reports for vehicles that have been previously looked up so it may be a few months old the one you're viewing. You'll have to login and waste a free lookup if you want to check an updated report.

Ring VNTZ. Will just be human error. It's pretty common.

We discovered the other day one of our work utes has been without a WOF since October last year. When It was given a WOF they used a 2011 book instead of a 2010 book. So it had an extra year on the sticker
Only found out when we couldn't rego it!

why would he do something as simple as that and get the correct answer the first time, when he can ask a whole lot of people here, who are going to give a whole lot of different answers?
When in doubt, down and out.

It was 1am & I was bored. Just wondering if anyones been stung with a fine in a similar situation & what to expect if it hasn't been entered correctly. Nobody's forcing you to read or post.

Anyway... rang LTSA this arvo and as 'doin donuts' said, it was CarJam giving incorrect information.

had this happen to me recentl with my wof. my wof and reg were only a week or so apart and when i went to re register my car they said it had no wof.

They had to go through all the old warrents to find my one. Lukily one of the inspectors recognised the momos i have and remembered issuing a warrent... just human error
