Definately agree with you on this one. I have learnt a bit with my current terrano (early TD27T), but compared to petrols i get lost quite easily! So will definately be dragging someone with me that knows diesels

Why do people get over whelmed by diesels? They are much simpler than petrols. They require 2 things to run, are and fuel. Older diesels dont even need electronics. The cooling system is the same as a petrol, radiator, coolant galeries, a pump, and a temp controller (thermostat).
Diesels up to about 15 years ago didnt even have anything remotely EGR (etc) on it, yet petrols have had it for much longer.
Diesels are simple.
