Test Drive - Christchurch

Postby Heylin » Thu Sep 22, 2011 6:31 pm

Any Christchurch members here be happy to inspect and test drive a Subaru Legacy for me at Indy Cars ?

Ill flick the dealer some $$ and get him to put a dozen beer of your choice in the trunk for your time.

Thanks.

Dealer will probably leave a single beer for test driver and keep the rest, just pay beers direct

and $500. Someone we knew was looking at a car from indys, they were asked to leave a $500 deposit with them, so they did, when they went back and said no, car is not for them, indy wouldnt give them there money back. Turned into a shit fight and had to get a lawyer involved.

My advice, dont buy from indy cars.

On top of that, from personal experience, the cars I have looked at from them have been over priced crap.

i still remember when i was doing work experience at a dealer, we got a VW golf in that was on the indy cars yard. Put on hoist, lifted car up *THUMP ding ding ding* as both rear springs fall out of their mounts and hit the ground.

My dealings with the guys there is that they are REAL assholes too. Wouldnt touch them with any form of barge pole, no matter the length.

If you still want someone to test drive it, I'm quite happy to.
One of the things I noticed with a lot of there cars was they had scratches and patches or poor paint and poorly covered up. They had one of those Honda Euro Accord things in there in red, paint was so poorly oxidised and so poorly waxed to cover up. Also another black car with slightly different coloured panels 8O
Also I went in there a while back to look at an Evo 4, was talking to the guy and said to him "it must go well?" he said "yeah it does, especially when you do rev limiter launches".
I just walked straight out after hearing that...

My little bro bought a BZG Trueno from them 4-5 years ago and despite the car being a bargain the yard were such wankers he wouldn't buy from them again.

Called them up today as I found a bunch of better cars in Auckland :) thaks for the offers of test driving for me though.

My dealings with Dean over the phone were pretty good, he was happy to include shipping in the price and pick me up from airport if I wanted to come down.

May have been some bad dealers working there in the past ?

How does this work for car yards?
So many trade in yards the cars don't have rego's, so you have to buy a new rego, plate etc?
Do they dereg the car when they take them on?
I understand for NZ imports... but there are a lot out there that ain't.

Yeah they had a NZ new M3 in there a few years ago, I questioned the +orc. They claimed it was for the new rego they had put on it and grooming all the while becoming very defensive, very quickly.

FFS incorporate that into your ticket price.
