Quite a promising young star.

Vid of the crash (be warned):

Looks like he was already coming off the bike when they crashed into him. The impact tore his helmet off.

Yea pretty bad, was watching it live. Folks are also in Sepang for the event.
Almost predictable that he may do something eventually though, kinda known for his recklessness. Regardless was good to watch.

The second week in a row I have gone from a massively elated feeling due to rugby victorys, only to be brought back down to earth with a huge thud watching coverage of both of the crashes unfold on tv on monday morning.

I knew the second Marco was hit that he was going to be killed, and I am pretty sure that Rossi and Edwards knew too. It was so violent and both bikes front wheels impacted his upper body/neck and head area with enough force to tear off his helmet.

An absolutely horrific way to go, but as with Dan Wheldon last monday, atleast it would have been very quick, and I really hope, painless.

Both of them died doing what they loved best, a cruel irony if ever there was one.

RIP Dan and Marco, taken far too early.

Was wathcing the rugby and switched over during one of the breaks, saw the words race cancelled, and no rain/snow/fire anywhere and knew straight away something bad had happened..

Bummed out a couple of the guys watching the game with us, but at least he wouldn't have suffered, he was dead instantly. Such a promising rider too.

RIP Marco.

Marco's riding was the reason I started and continued to watch MotoGP. Still so bummed everytime I think he's gone
