Wedding Car Ideas

Looking for places to hire cars for the impending wedding next year. Dont really wanna hire from a 'wedding' type place as I dont really wanna have my $$ removed while being bent over a barrel.
Im currently undecided between Old school muscle or late model premium Euro. Cant find anything on the net that offers anything decent without wedding rates.
Apparantly Camrys are considered preium by most rental companies

Anyone got any ideas or hook ups?

Liking the oldschool idea... but I'm slightly biased

I used my car + a couple from a mates collection. Had to get them out of storage, WOF and reg'd, and pay for drivers etc but was worth it!

Otherwise if you don't have mates with anything suitable, local car club will be your best bet...

Two old Falcons. And a Rolls. Fit us perfectly.
Rolls was family friend and used for bride, Falcons were hire at $250 ea incl chauffeur for the day from a Chch business, I found these through a website. We had them from ~12.30pm to 5pm.

Best thing to do is to ask around, offer them money to cover costs and a bit more and free food and drink at the reception.

No sure if something from "The General's stable" appeals to you, got our two cars we'll be using for wedding cars for our wedding. Oh the joys of owning them

We got a couple of Chev's off mates, other than some stress on their part with reliability leading up to the day all went well when it mattered.

We're in a similar situation, looking for a couple of XF jags for wedding cars, for latter on in the year.

We were talking to one of the limo companies, and they suggested that sometimes they can get other cars through their contacts, so might be worth a shot if you can't find anything any other way. They also suggested sometimes dealers lend demo cars out as wedding cars, so perhaps hit up a dealer to see if a deal can be made.

You could contact the "Falcon and Fairlane club" or the "Holden Enthusiasts club" here in chch if either of those stables floats your boat. Mention your after a couple of wedding cars to those clubs, you'd probably just need to offer a donation for the use of the cars.
