I have another pic of them on my computer at home, but they're mounted under the back seats of some American sports coupe (like a Mustang or something) so that from below it appears to be a regular exhaust system, but really there's a pair of blowers chillin there. It's a very cool idea for a stealth install, don't think it belongs with those other failures

In the US, rear mounts are quite popular on the IS300.

Metres and metres of unecessary piping, and lag, but the engine bay looks stock

from what i've read the piping length is not TOO dissimilar to what it would be with a front mount.

that shot of the turbos sitting in the rear seat spot looked a bit suspect though - that one turbo has its outlet pretty much touching the drive shaft tunnel. besides, wouldnt it make more sense to have the turbo being feed directly off the exhaust pipe, rather than perched on the muffler like that? or have the internals been altered and the muffler skins are just there as camo?

i did think the welds looked a bit too decent to be mixed in with that other stuff.

Quick google search shows that the 4th generation 3sgte had the integrated turbine housing and exhaust manifold.

thats a remote turbo setup, its more common on bigger engines like V8's because they have so much low end power in the first place that you don't notice the turbo lag (as much). Not recommended for small displacement engines, i believe...
