Ashburton puncture repair on Sunday?

Postby sergei » Sat May 04, 2013 5:11 pm

I got a puncture in Ashburton. Need to fix asap as tomorrow (Sunday) heading down to Cromwell and will be a real pain on a spacesaver.... The leak is slow but steady.... I'm happy to pay extra.

Shyte thats expensive for a fix, but I guess you are paying the call out fee more than the repair, but I feel your pain of the space saver. Once got a puncture near Dannevirke (the infamous rail crossing in poor state of repair) on xmas, did Auckland and back to Chch before I got it fixed. Needed to pump it up twice a day, but that beats a space saver.

it was losing 5psi per 30min so didn't want to risk it.

arrived at ashburton at 3, all the tire places were closed. probably picked up a nail in Christchurch. i noticed very slight pull to the left, lucky the road to ashburton is very straight and boring otherwise i would have missed it and destroyed the tyre.
