Looks Great - Sounds Great

Sounds not to dis-similar to the old 503e as used in the JGTC GT500 Supras
Surely they'd have an all new engine platform to use? (off to goolge that one) Yip, an R14AG they say HERE

Sounds alright. Wonder if that engine will see a production version.

Supra didn't have a 503e. Was a 3SGTE.

I'd be really interested to see how they package all the coolers and ducting to the brakes as if you look at the slow mo pic's it pretty much gives you a good idea where everything is placed.

Sounds pretty cool and the down changes with that sequential box sound cool aswell.

It went like this:

3S-GTE (Inline 4 - Turbocharged) ==> 3UZ-FE (V8 N/A) ==> RV8KG (V8 N/A) ==>R14AG (Inline 4 - Turbocharged with Direct Injection)

503E is a codename for Racing version of 3S-GTE I believe.

RV8K - was used in Formula Nippon. Revs to 10,700RPM & produces more than 600ps. I think this would have to be a flat plane crankshaft to rev that high.

One thing to note, most motor sport series are now going with direct injection & turbocharging. It's all about fuel savings.

Going to be cool when the get aligned with DTM and the Americans!
Might then see the Aussies join and and once again maybe we will have a world wide touring car formula.

I gather from the 7.0:1cr they must run a f*#k-tonne of boost
