Boot light in Caldina...

Postby peas » Thu Apr 17, 2014 1:27 pm

My interior light doesn't work in the rear of my caldina, the one that would illuminate the boot. I have tested the bulb and it is fine so moved to the switching. Where or how is this light switched?? There is nothing obvious to me and short of pulling the trim lining off the tailgate I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

TIA

There'll be a wire that goes to the bottom of the boot latch mechanism (inside the boot). Remove the trim pieces and you should see it. Chances are it's either unplugged, damaged or isn't getting a good enough ground (dirty terminal etc).

Yeah should be some sort of button that is pressed (or unpressed) in the latch area.

Is it not manually switched? I don't know if mine has an auto option. I'll check when I get home.
