Chassis removal company?

Postby cat007 » Wed Dec 16, 2015 12:05 pm

Hi all

I'm wanting to get my Supra taken away. There's not much left on it, no running gear at all so it's really only good for scrap.

Does anyone have any suggestions for who I should go through?
I've called a few places but they're not interested as it has no 'parts'.

I'm located on the North Shore

Cheers

Why not a scrap dealer? Bound to be one that will take it away for free.

a quick google shows a few scrap metal dealers that would be worth a call, otherwise these guys claim to buy cars "no matter the condition" http://www.carcollection.co.nz/scrap-ca ... rth-shore/

Thanks but no scrap yards aren't willing to take it away or have time this side of Xmas

Found a dude through a Facebook page. Not sure his name but he's coming on Sat.

Blew engine - while building a 1.5JZ I forgot about the rego and it lapsed and expired.
Chassis is too far gone to salvage and I'm moving overseas in the new year so just needed it gone.

Yeah I'm real dark about it. Had this car for over 14 years now. Countless, and I mean countless, hours working on it inside and out. 2 paint jobs, auto to manual conversion, n/a to twin turbo conversion, twin to single conversion. Multiple gearboxes chewed up. Aftermarket ECU wired in. Sunroof installed. Went through many diffs, and shirt load more tyres to match. Heaps of fun at the track, Puke and Meremere.

SO many memories, SO many good times.
