D1NZ Round 1, Manfield 16th & 17th January 2009

Dates have been finalized for the D1NZ National Drifting Championship for the 2009 season.

Below are the set dates which have been confirmed.

Note on the First Round at Manfield on Friday the 16th this will be D1 Rookie Practice Qualifying and 8-16 Battles followed by the D1NZ championship Battles on Saturday the 17th, all Rookie days will have practice sessions for D1NZ drivers.

D1NZ - D1 ROOKIE 2009 schedule
Round 1: January 16th & 17th – Manfield
Round 2: April 18th & 19th Night Drift Waikaraka Park or Whangarei street round if resource consent is approved
Round 3: May 2nd & 3rd Pukekohe Raceway (Round 3 Friday will be controlled testing day; rookies will be qualified from sessions for the next day. only top 16 will return on the Saturday)
Round 4: June 12th & 13th Taupo Motorsport Park
Round 5: July 11th & 12th Hampton Downs - Grand Final
Annual D1NZ Awards dinner: Saturday 25th July
Bonus Round: September 20th Pukekohe Raceway – Team battles Exhibition & Open Drift
Bonus Round: December 5th - Night Exhibition Waikaraka Park, Auckland, New center field drift track.

We are in search of volunteers in the Manawatu region to help promote the event before it commences and becoming involved at the track on the day.

For those who want to enter the 2009 season PLEASE REGISTER your interest NOW by emailing brendon@d1nz.com We have huge interest in both Championships and the limit is 40 cars in each Championship all entrants must be a registered member of an affiliated MSNZ club, you can join Drift Club of NZ for $45.00 a year which will give you a preferred supplier card and Drift Club member card.
