Yes - It's something they are trying to get going on a Friday night.
It will be minimal entry fee and like a motorkhana / gymkhana.
They are in talks with the council to try and get land.
Those dates were just guessed and it definitely won't be starting when it says. So keep an eye out.

Simon is pretty much right.
The Solo Series is going to be a Sealed Autocross series in Palmerston North and the aim is to have the events in fairly high profile areas of the city each fortnight or so. I think they'll be popular and a good way to inspire new people to compete in motorsport.
It's still a work in progress but we're getting closer to making it happen. The dates on the Motorsport Manawatu calendar are the planned dates but we're still working with PNCC and land owners, so nothing is happening yet.
I think we should run a few Motokhana's as part of the series too - they're casual (no helmets or overalls) and good fun ...and they suit MR2's.
Watch that space over the next month or so and things should become clearer.
