Well actually, 15psi from a TD05 would be a hell of a lot less stressful on it than 15psi from a TD04 ;)

Prove it next week then :)

On my 8psi on my td04 it will kill yours.

They arn't THAT bad if you don't overboost them.

No it won't, it might just beat it if your lucky, see the problem with the td04 is that while they are greate on 4efte's they aren't so good on 4agte's funnily enough because they spool so quickly, another thing about spooling quickly unless you got some weird stuff happening it's going to kill your top end power which is what the 4age's are geared for so imho don't waste anymore money on tdo4's find yourself a nice td05 or similar size turbo put that on at 8psi and be amazed at the difference.
BTW when i chucked a td04 at my missus old starlet had full boost by 3.2k rpm and had boost creep issues at about 4k till i got the wastegate ported so if your still running it with only the internal wastegate another thing to think about.
Oh lastly i hope you like your quick spool up time full boost by circa 2.3k but run out of puff at 5k doh. You won't see it so much on power graphs dyno etc but you will notice it on the road where it's still acclerating but just not as fast as down low till you change gears again

wah?

Your serious... You think a blacktop will beat a a 4agte...even WITH a td04..

Seriously...

And its externaled, so no boost creep issues.

I releise that they arn't the best turbos, but its a street driven car, and they are cheap as hell.

The 2004 WRX you got it off also had a decade of development and 400cc's over your car ;)
By all means, stick with the TD04...but you're seriously restricting what you'll be able to achieve.

Its only gonna make 150fwkw MAX, and more than likely only around 130ish. The biggest advantage will be the good gain in low end torque.
