Hugh baird and taupo are $400.
Agree there are a lack of clubman type rallys around but there are a fair few gravel sprints to chose from. Although $70 for 6 runs over 1.9km's can be a bit rough km-$ wise
Thans penny although i would have liked another months worth of trying for it

Daybreakers pretty much a No go for this year, pending confirmation.

Means we can get started extra early on how to tackle next year and get numbers up!

Correction hugh baird is $300 this year, 77km's of forrestry roads - only 5 stages 1 run 3 times and 1 twice which is ok.
Haven't seen anything for taupo yet

True although if i do it this year it'l only be co-driving as i've already commited to co-driving in hugh baird and taupo. Hopefully if all goes well i might land myself a co-drive in the otago classic next year. Depending on if the guy im doing the co for has his car finished or not (hopefully he will but it's what he does for a living so you know how that works).

Do you need overalls or a 2-peice suit?
What approximate size? (Not trying to insult anyone here :) )

Would have been joining you at the Gravel Sprint, but Ski season awaits!

It's all good got it sussed actually. Borrowing brads overalls for it they a bit baggy but thats ok, she doesn't have to do anything that involves moving really just sit there and not tell me to slow down to often :)
Oh and they only need to be single layer being it's only a clubsport event

Some pics from the weekend.
Hopefully there will be some more up somewhere as there were quite a few spectacular spots for photo's. One place i know for certain i had all four wheels of the ground

http://motorsports.sportsimages.co.nz/m ... &g2_page=4

17 pages of photo's this guy took. Now that seems a tad excessive to me but hey i suppose digital you can just take as many as you have storage for

Wnet ok, ws 4th in class think i was 32nd of 35 overall - 7 in class.
Had one argument with a bank that i will call a draw, i hurt the bank and the bank took my mud flap from me (where did you get the stuff to make the rear flaps for the datto from, don't feel the same without hairy flaps).
Am doing the hugh baird but only co-ing as i don't have my car sussed enough or the other necessary bits on it yet. Send brendon to me on the morning before stages i can give you some extra notes other than the general route book notes. couple of cautions i've hand written where at least two cars every year run out of road and a couple others that are flat out crests that look dodgy everytime through.
Will be good to catch up either way

baha the old hairy flaps! not sure where i got that stuff from. either grab some mudflap material from a quad bike shop or get some from palmside.co.nz. Rallysprint the other weekend stole one of my mudflaps too. first event in ages ive come home with damage to the car

I'll have to remember to send brendan to ya, im all about missing hairy corners. sounds like ya had a ball tho thats the main aim

No worries was all good, they mis wrote that time for he 1st timed run, was actually a 25.09 not 29.09 so that was good enough to move me up from 2nd to last to 3rd in class :D
