Need Car trailer and assistance ASAP!

Postby tatsumaki » Wed May 17, 2006 11:38 pm

It's a long shot but i'm wondering if someone here has access to a car trailer and could help me cart a shell I need to collect from Wellington ASAP.

The shell is just a small one. Starlet to be exact.

I am obviously happy to work something out to cover fuel costs.

This would probably suit someone with a diesel hilux or surf as well.

Cheers,

Paul.

You'll make it there and back in a day so why not hire a trailer? Shouldn't cost more then $50 for the day right?

Part of the issue.

The trailers get booked out long in advance.

Others have told me even now they're having to consider buying their own trailer now that you cannot rely on the hire companies trailers to be available at short notice.

I also wanted to avoid an unnecessary high bill with trailer hire now that fuel prices are rediculous.

Besides, can you imagine a Starlet with a car trailer behind it?

Its obviously not in towable condition then? What about A frames? They're quite cheap to hire, and then not to be booked out as quickly as trailers.

Orix over the ramp on rangitiki line have a good one, not many people know about it either and i've never had a problem getting one at short notice, 2 minutes is the record for short notice for me at this stage :)
Only problem is it's $60 for a day although sometimes it's for a weekend if they doing a special weekend deal.

Thanks CaM and Loudtoy ... that's all I needed.
