Hello All,
We have been given the privilege and great opportunity to run a
Drift/Track day on the 5th of April 2007 at Manfeild Raceway.
Because of the negative image drifting has acquired, this day will be
run in a very professional and strict fashion. We need to as car
enthusiasts to change the stereotype we have unfortunately earned
through inappropriate behaviour. Any inappropriate behaviour will not be
tolerated, and you WILL be asked to leave the premises.
There are a few rules on top of the above which will need to be followed
prior to and on the day:
- Participation fee has to be paid in full by 23th March 2007
- 50% refund is available before the 30th March 2007
- Please be honest when filling out the registration form as we don't
want "Amateurs" drifting with the "Pros"
- If you cause damage to the track or other vehicles, you are liable
for all cost incurred
- Be prepared. Bring a helmet, cotton overalls, fir extinguisher and
any required tools, tyres etc to the drift day
- If you have brought a car to the event that the MANZ scruitineers do
not think is of a safe standard then you will not be allowed to take
part and you will not get a refund.
- At the end of the day do your part by tidying up around your
designated park/area
Now we have that out of the way, this is a day where drivers can come
along to gain some experience and practice on the Manfeild track. Also a
chance for some of the "Amateurs" to learn from the "Pros".
The day is limited to 40 participants. We will be sending the drivers
out in a maximum group of 10 drivers. Providing the day runs smoothly,
expect to get 60+ minutes of full track time over 4 split sessions.
Passing is allowed but only safely and on straight sections of the
track. Please do not "block" other drivers or drive in a dangerous
manner that will put other drivers in a dangerous position. All drivers
deemed to have driven in a dangerous manner will no longer be able to
participate.
If anyone would like to help us by being Flag Marshall's, Pit
Marshall's, recover vehicle drivers etc. this will be much appreciated
and refreshments will be provided. A Sausage Sizzle will be run on the
behalf of D-Day for the participants.
