I was flown over as support for a software/hardware rollout around Malaysia. I spent most of the time in JB, though have been through Kuala Lumpur and spent a bit of time around the Penang area.

JB is a bit of a shock to the system for someone who is used to NZ hahaha

I'm actually at Changi airport waiting for my flight back to NZ, back to fast food places that have walls and doors - thunderstorms that only happen occasionally and people as tall as me

Last time when I went back with my friend, my friend though the house going to get wash away over night due to heavy rain (normal) at midnight and giant thunder! feel like standing infront of the bass speaker in disco but x10.

Yeah man, I tried quite a few of the food markets in JB - though I didn't have much spare time to go exploring for anything else. The rain, lightening and thunder there is incredible, when I was there it was every day around 3-4pm for about an hour.

While people are you-tubing, search for Malaysia and lightening to get an idea. The things you'll see in there aren't random freak storms 8O
