Palmy Meets - First Security - Any word?

Postby ebgamer » Fri Jun 05, 2009 5:03 pm

Hey guys,

As everyone that came along can attest too.... we got told to leave the plaza car park this Wednesday night by a female First Security employee, for apparent 'boy racer' lingering :?

So has anyone came up with a game plan or know what is happening yet?
Thought I would open a thread for discussion of the issue as probably need to get it sorted soon or discuss a new meeting place for next Wednesday.

Interesting thing i just thought of. If you are by chance doing a burnout with your race car at said plaza car park - but doing it still on the trailer could you get done for sustained loss of traction. I mean after all you aren't technically on the road or car park or anything are you?? I would actually class it as private property

Grumpy dirty old fun spoiling man 8O . Is reckless use of a motor vehicle classed as the same thing in public and private property?? I mean if you own the trailer, have it tied down so it can't move etc you could possibly get issued with a noise control thingie but don't think reckelss use would apply, however if you had car on back of trailer with someone doing a burnout whilst being towed it's possible.
How much weight do those first security people carry?? Could we all arrange to turn up in vans, 4wd's and family type wagons - everything other than the stereotypical that they are looking for - and be classed as something other than boyracers. Not sure if there's still such a thing as unlawfull public assembly unless we causing trouble - last i looked we didn;t live in north korea

Haha you have me all wrong - just telling it like it is.

And NZ seems hellbent on removing everyones rights, especially if cars are involved.

+1 for dirty old man. You haven't practiced getting your grump on to be put in that category.

Very lame about 1st security kicking you off the premises. My vote is to get Benson back dressed in his security outfit and he can tell them to leave.

From what I understand, any property connected to the road that doesn't have a gate closed is private property and you can do what ever the f you like, providing it's with the owners permisison... However as soon as that gate is opened it's public property to the same laws come into effect... The carpark has continuously opening and closing gates so it's safe to assume a police officer could do you for boy racer things... or danger to the public, or disturbing the public or what ever it's called.

The plaza car park is private property though so they can tell us to bugger off for whatever reason they feel like...

Or if we got really desperate we could all put in 10c each and buy something from the supermarket? Are they going to tell paying customers to get lost?!

Not sure what to expect - most obvious two I can think of is:

1) Go to the normal carpark until we get kicked out again
2) Go to the square, park up like boyracerse (its at least not raining or icey cold, yet)

Regardless of wherever we meet, I figure we have to discuss this properly - I never tried calling the plaza folks to see if we could get permission as I had the impression from this thread that something is in the works and didn't want to bombard them... still am not sure if anything has been done?

I have phoned the Plaza, I am yet to hear back from them however.

So i say go to the normal place and see if we are asked to leave, i must insist that we dont act stupid tonight, as it is possible they want to monitor what happens before returning my call.

So everybody be good!!
