The Automotive Direct Rally Manawatu is Returning on October 30th 2010

The 2010 Automotive Direct Daybreaker Rally Manawatu is the final round of the Geartech Central Region Rally Series. Its format and route slightly are changed
from the previous four Daybreaker’s events with the rally n...ow starting in Feilding. The competitors will contest seven gravel special stages over 142km’s before
finishing back in Palmerston North. The service park (based in Apiti) will see the cars making three trips to the small Manawatu village.
As always we will give the competitors a variety of stage lengths, with the shortest stage being the 7.75km McBeth Rd, the longest Pakihikura at 42km and the exciting
and challenging final stage being Ridge Rd at 34km. This is the last gravel rally for the year so we are expecting a big turnout.
Documentation and auditing will be carried out on the Friday night or first thing on Saturday morning, with a possibility of out of town auditing for some competitors.
There will be no ceremonial start this year. The cars will report to the rally start at Automotive Direct in their seeded start order.
As always we are greatly appreciative of the support of the residents on the roads we use, and the Daybreaker's sponsors who give generously to assist the event to run.
We need more block marshals, so if you're keen to help please Email Jeff Braid (Chief Marshal) on braidz@xtra.co.nz OR send me a PM.
The job is very easy and gives you a good chance to get close to the action. Our marshals have always enjoyed being a part of the rally and it remains one of the hottest topic amongst club members. I understand this is reasonably short notice, but if you can share 2 hours out of your Saturday we would love to hear from you.
Our website is down at the moment, so for more information head to the Motorsport Manawatu Facebook Page. The website will be back up and running soon! ( http://www.motorsportmanawatu.org.nz )
