ahhhh.... RunX goodness

Well, it's back, I picked it up on Friday afternoon, the mechanic suggested that I drive it "nana style" for 1200kms... 1030 to go, but it's going to take an age, it is a boring car below 4k RPM, engine looks remarkably like the old one(no surprise there), it is missing the plastic cover off the top aswell, just like the old one, so still need to get a stainless one to replace it.

It is running sooo smooth, little noises(under engine braking in 3rd and 4th a slight whine) that even cookies assured me were normal for them(the celica they had at the time did it too), are gone, now I(being the non-mechanic) would have assumed that it would have been GB noise, but maybe it wasn't?

ahhh, bliss... it's almost sad how happy it makes me to have it back.

New Stereo(USB, DVD, divX, VCD etc), screen(Sharp 7") and subs(2x12) going in over the next week or so, and same for the stabaliser bar... should firm up the cornering a bit, hopefully stop some of the body roll with it being kinda tall.

In the next few weeks it should also be going in to have exhaust looked at for a few changes, make it quieter, but flowing better.

The box that came out of my mates car sat in the boot without moving for a month without moving, the wife didn't even notice them(the carpet matches my boot).

what is it with peoples comments on the way I drive? Hard acceleration is fine as long as you don't speed :)
