New Exhaust - Pics there now

Postby barryogen » Wed Aug 16, 2006 9:26 am

well about half of it is finally on there... unfortunately, for the moment it has no resonators... just a straight pipe splitting in two for the twin exhausts, so quiet... or even acceptable are not words I would use to describe it(2000RPM and windows shake, haven't had it over 4000)

Goes back in on friday to have the resonators put in to silence it a fair bit.

Pics to come.

scratches have been there for ~6 months... NW carpark, came out after groceries, and almost cried... the cars a bit cleaner than usual, hence you can see them.

SC not here, and the NZ dealer is no longer willing to sell them, other plans in mind though, hence the exhaust size upgrade...

incidentally, although deafening, mastering gear changes and keeping it in lift is remarkably easy since the bigger exhaust... anyone know why? limited by exhaust flow?

Oh, and before anyone mentions it, yeah I know that with that size on a 1.8NA car it will lose power... it is the beginning of a bit more work on the little pregnant rice bubble.

new resonators are in, nice and quiet-ish now.

Also, lovely TRD swaybar is on the car... makes the car stick to the ground a lot better...
