Yeah we left just after the T bucket lost the radiator hose and doused the track with coolant our 2yr old was getting a bit bored and it seemed to be a good time to go.

There was a GT-T caldina trying to race, but both runs before I left he stuffed up the gearchange something wicked and on the second run he definatly did some serious clutch frying (we could smell the clutch but didn't really smell any of the burnouts that were performed). He then had to resort to driving up and down the road people were parking on, and walking down to access the event, far to fast for safety, to prove how hardcore he was. Can't be many GT-T's in Dunedin with a frontmount!

Overall it wasn't bad although there was nothing there but cars, no food, no toilets, no PA system to let you know what was happening, so it wasn't much of a spectator event mainly for the car guys.

Mustang-man, did you see us or just the car?? You should have asid Hi.

When i pulled up i was followed by a red/orangish Altessa/IS200 (had followed me for a while) which turned around right in front of you and parked. When i got out i saw you guys were still in the car so i just started walking up to the racing. :?

And yeah, wasn't really too much of a spectator event. Only time i found out times anyone had done was when i approached the guy in the R33 Skyline (who i knew) and he said he'd done a 16 second run so far but didn't know the result of his last run (which i think was quicker).

Yeah we were waiting for the altezza to park to see how much room he left us as we knew we wern't going to be there that long. Good thing we did cos he parked right in front and left no gap so we just backed back a bit so we could get out again. Funny thing is that they actually left just before us but someone had parked right in fornt of them, so if we hadn't have backed up to leave room they wouldn't have got out. Some people just don't think.

Chris.

P.s. my wife was driving when you saw us, I got to drive home again, the only trouble with having a wife who is into cars as well.

Awesome, i have that pic (i presume yours is the red one?) in 1024x768 resolution if you want (have all pictures in that size, so if anyone wants one just PM me your e-mail address). :)

How much did it cost to race there and did you only need overalls and a helmet? I'd be keen on doing that one day. :)
