Just got the AA report, always good for a laugh.

Modified: no

hahaha.

The rest

blocked windscreen washer(left)
discoloured power steering fluid.
oil seepage from steering
slight noise in operation of transmission(all Altezzas I've driven seem to have this)

Will offer this evening...

Nice picture of the traction control off button

You'll be able to show that "Equipt" guy how to really thrash a car now.

Nice can't wait to have a closer look.

Chris.

The funny thing is when I pulled out of the guys driveway on the test drive, I had to turn it off as it wouldn't let me take off on the gravel.

what do you mean, I drive like a nana on meth

Not likely for the moment... although it already has the Power FC so engine management is sorted...

Would probably put a low-ish boost turbo on it... keep the turbo small so response would be good, and boost available from 3300-3500 or around there, so that way cruise fuel consumption wouldn't be too badly effected.

One of the first things it is getting is a tune/diagnostics to see if it is all healthy, as it has never been looked at since arriving in NZ.

It goes fine, hell, it goes better than any RS I've driven before... but I figure it's good to check it all out properly.

AA said all good, Mechanic said he'd buy it if I didn't as it was one of the tidiest examples that he'd ever seen.

The one I test drove a few years ago you had to turn it off even on the bitumen on some of dunedin's shitty roads on uphill corners, it just wouldn't let you pull away over poor tarmac. 8O

Best just to keep it off  [/quote]

I wonder whether theres settings in the PFC for it... I assume it would be ECU controlled. might be able to just disable it.

Lol if u want boost hitting at 3000 ish u could go quite large like .60 A/R T4 etc which aint a small turbo lol and most turbo vehicles at cruise speeds are more fuel efficient than NA ones. The turbo helps them run leaner :) It's just when u have a turbo u tend to overtake alot more cause u can :)

picked it up... very nice...

however with traction control off, it is a hell of a handful on corners in the wet.

really must stop trying to drive it like I used to drive the runx, accelerating hard on corners is not something that used to induce massive amounts of over steer, gotta try to remember that.

On the flip side, the traction control when left on, is overly intrusive, gravel driveways are impossible to drive up.
