New road islands

Anyone notice the new ones going in at the corner of south road and princes St, as in, right where the souther festival of speed goes through... that'll make that corner a might tricky one at speed now.

I wonder if they even talked to the organisers or not?


I mean from a roading/road user perspective, I think it is great, 100% on the button to stop the a5seholes who drive down the turning lane, and then proceed straight through and continue to sth D.

Hmmm, will have to take a look at that. I should hope that they informed the SFoS organisers about it.

I have been digging, and I understand that there are a "disposible" type of islands that they are putting into Hamilton incase of the V8s actually getting approval and going there, so maybe(wishful thinking I suspect) they will use them for that area.

well both the new islands are in as of yesterday arvo... that'll be a "fun" kurb to try and hop if you're racing.
