Camping in wanaka

Hey all


Im trying to find a place to camp in Wanaka for about 4-5 days there will be about 8 people.

All the camping grounds are fully booked and have been for ages.

It needs to be a legel place to camp.

Any help be awesome

Yeah, good luck with that one. I think you usually have to book about easter.

Is albie town all shut now? (due to last years "fun") erm i mean accidents....

my suggestion, make real gud friends with someone who lives there, or someone who knows someone who lives there :P.

We often just stayed on the banks of the clutha near Tarras, its free, legal, and no ones around so you can have the MEAN piss up. Its only about 30 mins drive from wanaka

Ive stayed heaps down south, and most farm people dont mind you rocking out in their land as long as you dont interefere with their stock and clean up, obviously you aint got no facilities but yeah that bout as clever as I get! We had a blast in the rugby grounds in Q Town last year
