This event is a Gravel Hillclimb promoted by the Otago Sports Car Club and Eastern Southland
Car Club and will take place on October 6 2007 at White Road in Kaitangata. This was used in
the ‘60s and early ‘70s as a National Gold Star event.
This is part of the Eastern Car Club’s Club Championship. Points will be awarded in their normal
classes.
Event one of the Southern Twin Peaks Challenge, the second and final event being the Bluff
Sealed Hillclimb 26th January 2008. The competitor who takes the least total time to the top in
both events will be the winner of the Southern Twin Peaks Challenge and will take home the $500
cash prize money. Ie Your fastest run at both events added together is your Challenge time.

Documentation and Audit Scrutineering– 9:00 to 10.15am. Please have your Club Membership
and Licence up to date before this.

Competitor Requirements - Drivers must hold as a minimum a MSNZ Clubsport licence,
At the Clerk of the Course’s discretion Closed cars with a Roll Cage, compiling Safety Harness,
Seat and Interior may carry a passenger - they don’t require a MSNZ licence but must sign an
indemnity form.
Competition - The event will start with an Indian file followed by 4 official runs with your fastest
run counting towards your result, if for some reason 4 runs cannot be completed, the results will
be calculated from the runs completed by the field of entries.
