RunX sold

Postby barryogen » Mon Mar 24, 2008 7:39 pm

Well this weekend I sold it to gurutasker ... a wellington toyspeed member for what I consider to be a very reasonable price.

I'm on the lookout for a manual version of either a Caldina GTT or an RS200Z Altezza as a bit of a gas saving equivalent of the Caldina... :)

any other suggestions...

must be fun, ~160HP/ton, manual... umm, thats about it.

incidentally, took a 99 Golf GTI for a spin, nice, fast, solid, reliable, but boring as all $&#$%.

She works at a dealership as the finance manager... so she's not so bad.
The RunX was the longest I've owned a car yet... all 2 years 5 months of it.

Looking for a longer term commitment this time I think, hence my looking at an altezza... they're a bit better on gas than the GTT.

well it was sweet...

As for gas, I'm not overly concerned, but the mrs is.

The car went beautifully...
A few details...
The extractors are a no-name "Jasma" cert'd ones followed by TRD piping to the end.
TRD mags, TRD wheel nuts, TRD bodykit, TRD air filter... noticing a theme.
Toms gear knob
Apexi Power FC.
Apexi RSM
Lower springs, stock struts, feels nice, doesn't bounce.

Just got to convince the mrs now, but she did like it.

yep, there is a controller, and price is "reasonable" at $15k.

I don't think it is cheap or expensive at that... it is a 2001

It's getting one of those oh so useful AA tests on Monday morning... well, I guess they'll tell me if anything obvious is borked.

Then it is just a matter of convincing the mrs that $15k is not too high, for a car with 108000kms.

108kms is damn near a new engine for most Toyotas. Hate how people wont buy a car because the kms are too high when its got over 100k on it, if anything thats when it'll be at its best
