Brownline Digital Torque Wrench

Right this is not my area of expertise but I have to say the price on these looks good and they look hella functional. They are a digital torque wrench designed in the US to cater to the demands of the US operator (read: cheaper prices!). The price delivered per wrench is $255

The only caveat is they use a 1/2 inch socket. So to use metric sockets you'll need a 1/2 inch adapter. Think that's the right terminology! Anyway, I think it's pretty kick ass for a digital torque wrench. And if it's above what you'd pay for like products then that really does show how out of touch with tools I am!

Mac, anyword on the price for the EBC pads I had you price up to suit wilwoods?

Also this torque wrench, whats the total length and can it do angles?
ie. you set it at 0 deg, and you want to reach 90 deg, it will read out the angle you have moved the wrench.

Hey Baz, not any luck with the Wilwood option and the spreadsheet didn't seem to help. We get EBC from the US, so they don't have a full product list (like EBC UK?) so they can't see that part number. I asked them to ask up the chain to see if anyone else knew but no updates on that yet either.

Regarding the wrench, I have asked and will post the reply shortly!

Mac, 1/2" drive is the standard drive size for a good torque wrench. Doesnt look like it could do angle torque though.
Also check with the supplier to make sure they can be calibrated...I daresay by the price it will be able to be, but some of the cheaper stuff out there isnt.

According to Brownline it is, and will self-calibrate. I am not technical enough to know / prove this, so have asked for some laymen explanations as to what this means.

This price is at the low end for a good digital torque wrench.
The snap on ones I used at my dads shop like $800-1k.

Pretty sure that was the primary reason why they made them in the first place - the cost.
