Want something heavy or oversized, ask =]
Mainfreight have shipments leaving from LA to NZ every week (at least to Auckland, and every 2 weeks also to Wellington) and since we've had a pretty good run with them and the US$ is high(ish still), we thought we'd start another thread for oversized items from the US.
As always, every item is subject to stock and lead time (being made to order, or initial delays to ship the part to Mainfreight USA) but since containers leave so frequently, if an item is delayed, it jumps on the next container which, as stated above, should be the week after. Also, Mainfreight controls the shipping not us, so we can't speed it up - we are at the whim of their schedule. Unlike Japanese containers, they sail direct to NZ, so there's no ambiguity as to routes or ETA's! Just err on the slow-side when anticipating anything oversized!

Because of slow cheap shipping, money can be saved by using this type of shipping service. Anything (including small, normal items) can ship this way but there's not any savings to be had unless it's a large, light item (like a GT wing!).
