The Type 1 (straight point to point) and Type 2 (H-Brace, 4 point) front lower arm bars are quite popular given how they tie up (and protect to a certain extent) the lower front crossmember area. They're also light - being made of aluminum! The better versions (some of them bolt together two points of the subframe rather than the chassis, effectively doing nothing - but those are the Daihatsu and Suzuki options mainly!) tie in 4 points across the floor pan, helping to reduce the flex and twist that goes through this area of the chassis, which is hard to reinforce!
