Right - a Container Update for Japanese Parts!

There's around 90 days to get in the next container from Japan - We close the doors the first week of December, FIRM! Shipped via Madigan Freight from Tokyo to Wellington, ETA end of January. FIRM. Direct. No long routes, no waiting for boats.

We will not hold the doors open so if you miss out, you miss out and there will be no exceptions on this rule now. This is part of our streamlining process from Japan where containers there have been nightmares! Thanks to Madigan Freight for helping out again!

Furthermore, anyone will be able to track with open dialog by asking both us or Madigan Freight. No more waiting for the next boats, being tied to one route or port, using one line for shipping and being at the whim of a larger slower company!

Remember, oversized items take time to make. Most fiberglass body kits have 1-2 month lead times at best, more if there is high demand. Carbon is a 2 month wait initially! Otherwise, most other items are good to go.

Yahoo Second Hand Items (TRD, Toms etc)
Seats
Hoods
Exhausts
Bracing (especially large X-Braces)
Doors
Fenders
Rear Gates
Heavy: Suspension, Brake Kits, Clutches, LSD's
Body Kits
Engine Heads
Stroker Kits
Blocks
Axles
Wheels!
Hard Tops
Driveshafts
Subframes
Wings

Everything above has less than $250 in shipping apart from Hard Tops and Body Kits which are a little more.

There is a heap of money to save not just on oversized pieces, but also on heavy items. No more $250 shipping for 2 x Brake Rotors from Endless @ 20kg - $40. No more $500 upwards per set for wheels - $180.

Hope this is some good news and a vast improvement on the previous, slow and delayed containers Ex Japan!

Here's some examples of what the typical vs container shipping costs are.

Anyone is welcome to verify the air freight prices with EMS and we welcome you to do so:
http://www.post.japanpost.jp/cgi-charge ... p?lang=_en

Remember to add GST, which Customs NZ charges upon entry into NZ!

Here's some examples for Normal Sized items:

1 x set (4 wheel) Work CR Kai - Japan Post Ocean $315, SAL Air $599, EMS Air $766, our container $180
1 x Pair Big Brake Rotors - Endless / Project Mu - Japan Post Ocean $158, SAL Air $300, EMS Air $383, our container $40
1 x Coilover Kit - Japan Post Ocean $188, SAL Air $355, EMS Air $420, our container $40
1 x LSD - only 10kg~ - Japan Post Ocean $90, SAL Air $180, EMS Air $210, our container $30

Here's some examples for Oversized Items:

1 x Hood - Typically over $800 to ship - our container $200
1 x Exhaust - Typically over $800 to ship - our container $200
1 x GT Wing (<4kg for example!) - DHL can take it for $500 - our container $80
1 x Body Kit - Typically over $1000 to ship - our container $390
1 x Wide Fenders Set - Typically $600 to ship with TNT or DHL - our container $170
1 x Side Skirts - Typically over $400 to ship via Air as they are too long - our container $150

And Finally
Those small, light items that normally (and annoyingly - deterring you from buying) cost ~$60-$100 to air freight are $25 on a container (i.e. cam gears, electronics..)

83 Days Left

... Which sounds like plenty, but remember, most oversized items are made to order - especially aero parts and exhausts, which can take 2 months (and more for some brands, but we'll tell you which!). That's 60 days lead time, then delivery, so on some options you have a mere 2 weeks to sort out at worst. At best, 6 weeks!
