Blown Celica Gear box

hey just need some help

my sisters car today didnt wanna go on reverse or go higher than 2nd gear i am guessing the gearboxed is f**ked?
just wondering how much a gear box will cost and how much for a gear box 2nd hand or brand new. and do you guys know any places that have gear boxes for cheap

its a 1994 toyota celica
its got a 3sge engine (3s9240884)
its a st-202 model

It is possible that one of the shifter linkages has come off, or there is excessive play in them. If not, then assuming the clutch is working properly, an internal shift fork has probably broken.
Anyway, if you decide you need one, I have a 5spd gearbox that will fit, you can have it for $200. Most wreckers seem to want around $350, and brand new you'd be looking at $2K+
For a gearbox rebuild, you could be looking at anything from $800ish-$2K
