Make corolla faster

Postby Fatboy » Tue May 11, 2004 9:59 pm

Hey
Im a new memba with an 89 FX corolla. I got the small problum of it not being fast enough! Can anyone suggest anything to right this? Im thinking of putting a levin supercharger on it good idea or not? Is it hard to do this? I can get parts to do it easy enough but would like to know a bit more before i do it. Any help please? :?

its a lot harder and more expensive to do the swap and you will be without a car for longer than the suggestion above /\/\/\

too much work, too many parts to find, and the finished package is good but not worth it in dollar terms, the levins are better value for money and they come better equiped

still an fxgtz would have style, would be a nice daily driver that i wouldnt mind if i ever get a real silly project car, although prob would be easier if you start with an fx with a blown engine or mechanically damaged.

or start with the efi 4afe rolla pick a broken one up for $500 then spend money on a half cut that way the tank and lines are ok just slot in a decent fuel pump and yall be home n hosed
spray it up and fxgt bumpers or what ever to tidy it up or leave it as a sleeper

ye thats prob the cheapest option, all depends on what suits you thou, and if you can go without a car for a time or do this drive the one you have and sell when project complete ?
