Intake question

Postby Lloyd » Fri May 14, 2004 3:36 pm

Hey people, whats the go on an intake for a 4A-GZE being converted to 4A-GTE? I've read that redtop is what I want. Would there be any advantage going for quad throttles? And if so then would they bolt straight on? This si an an AE92 too btw.

PS add comments to my profile :)

Oh, no longer going TD04 either. Got a T3 as a replacement for the supercharger. Doesn't look to be the easiest turbo to fit in that little gap.

yea u will need a red top inlet manifold with the throttle body as well.
If u go quad throttle bodies u would need a aftermarket ecu to control em.
And you probably wouldnt really get much more gain for the amount of $ u spend on it.

If your car is map sensed it will be small port and will need redtop manifold.
If it is AFM you will need a bluetop inlet manifold.(ae82 or similar)

throttle body

100kw would be you best option, but they are harder to find, you could use blue or red plenium (remove t-vis),and blue top throttle body because no tps complications with ae92

Its MAP, one of the late 89 4AGZEs. Guess I'll be on the hunt for a 100kW red top then. What were they in? Might go to a couple of wreckers and see if they have anything unless someone on here has one.
