Displaying A/F ratio on an APEXi S-AFC?

Postby ChaosAD » Sun May 23, 2004 5:11 pm

I have an apexi safc installed in my 4AGE powered corolla and stumbled accross this while trying to find infop on tuning it.
"Blue Wire Mod"
Huh ? Blue wire mod? This allows you to read Oxygen Sensor Voltage on the AFC display. On the wire harness for the AFC there are three wires that normally not used on a Eclipse. These are White, Yellow and Blue. The Blue wire is meant for the second Air Flow Meter on a Nissan 300ZX. You will connect this wire to the O2 sensor wire right at the ECU. See the Zeitroinix install instructions for info on where to get the O2 sensor signal.

To read the O2 sensor voltage, scroll down to and select the "etc." menu. Select the "Sensor Check". Of the three readings, O2 voltage will be the middle one (#2)

I found it at http://www.roadraceengineering.com/newafcsetting.htm

This page is only on tuning the safc for a Mitsubishi Eclipse, but would it work with my 4age?

Also, If I got some sort of unit that did the same thing for ignition and got some bigger injectors. Could I use it to run a set of 8.8mm lift, 232 & 240 degree duration (at .050" lift) rally cams?

Also found this:
Again in APEXi's words, it features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments. The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. On hot-wire vehicles (like the GTi), the Deceleration Air Flow Correction function is capable of curing the erratic idle and stall problems associated with open-atmosphere blow-off valves. The S-AFC is also capable of monitoring and replaying the following data channels in Numerical, Analog Meter and Graph displays: Intake Manifold Vacuum/Boost Pressure, Air Flow Capacity, Intake Manifold Pressure, Karmann Frequency, Engine RPM, Throttle Position, and Air Flow Correction %. Finally you can also monitor the air/fuel ratio (this feature is undocumented).
