Postby sprint » Mon Jun 21, 2004 10:02 pm

Was just wondering if someone could give me a step by step on how to change springs in my GZ20 Soarer. It has cut springs at the mo so im putting standard springs back in. I have spring compressers as well.

No sure about your exact model, but can give a general;
if you have tems, Im assuming its the same a the supras- un plug & unbolt it, it just lifts off the top.
Rite, basically unbolt the strut from the suspension- two big bolts 19mm I think?!
Un bolt the top bolts and its off.
The front may have a brake line through it, or may not. If it does you will need to disconnect that.
Get your spring compressors onto the springs & wind them down.
Unbolt the top nut on the shock, the hat will then come off followed by the spring.
Put the spring compressors on your new springs and put it all back.
Make sure all is secure and go get an allignmnet.
Pretty vague sorry...im tyred :)
Cant believe im still a member here.
