ok on any ae101 on the roof just behind the doors on both sides there are two little in-dents in the roof
what i am wanting toi no " garanteed no one can help " is , is this a desgin fualt
or is it just from slaming the doors hard or something stupid

I got two small dents (spaced about 50mm apart) on the passergers side of my car just above the rear window. Looks like it came from the factory like that, it scared the sh!t out of me when i first saw it because one of my mates had similar mark on his Ae-101 FX but on both sides. Apon ripping the interior carpet out and looking under the car, it was found that it was not one car but two! the marks on the roof were where the two cars had been overlapped and welded together. I ripped the interior of my car apart but could not find anything out of the ordinary, i would say the marks are most likely from spot welds or something like that.

coming from a holden owner, it's a shame the only thing they can do properly is to pinch engines fron their american cousins.

I thought this only happened on Hondas, but so I am proven wrong....

Those little indents are from the sealer which is used to stick cars together called Urethane. On early '90s Hondas there were little indents along the door about the same height as the side intrusion bars. Not on all mind you. But that is probably what has happened to the levins aswell

The Urethane contracts in cold weather and causes dimples
