Auto-Manual Conversion

Postby speed_revolution » Tue Jun 29, 2004 5:06 pm

Hola~ Everyone! I think I will be getting a 1994 Subaru Impreza WRX but it seems to be auto but I want a Manual.
So I was wandering if it is possible to convert auto to a manual?
If so would it be different to a normal WRX manual?
What is the difference?
WHERE IN CHRISTCHURHCH,NEW ZEALAND CAN I GET IT DONE? AND HOW MUCH?

And most importantly WRX have an upgrade version of an WRX called WRX STI (subaru technica Internation) and STI have better performance. If I take same parts from STI and put in the WRX would it be the same? Yes or no and WHY?

Don't bother getting an Auto and Converting it, waste of time.
Spend your money right and get a manual straight off. It's just hassle otherwise, especially with a car like a WRX.
Yes.

Yes, it would be an auto converted to a manual, although if you used all factory parts, loom and manual computer then it would be pretty much the same.

More than its worth, as stated above.
If you want a manual just wait around for one. Unless you get it dirt cheep (like really cheep) its not worth converting it.
Cant believe im still a member here.
