after ripping the exhaust off on a corner on the weekend, gonna put some guarding underneath the dirty old datsun. Probably just a sump guard, anybody got any ingeneous and new ideas that they've used before? Think i'll probably just bend some sheet aluminium to fit and clip it on. Has anyone ever used any sort of plastics??

becareful doin that, alota cooling comes from down there, sump acts as oil cooler, make sure you still get adequate airflow

Definately better than getting a hole in your sump :( I spent alot of time on gravel roads a while back and hit a big rock. Made a big crease and only a tiny hole. Holes get bigger though.......
