Yes, altezza has electronic throttle.

Cable only operates last quarter or throttle.

I think if its coming up with those codes, a different ECU won't make any difference.

Twstd - I can send u the ECU to check out. I havn't tried the ECU to c if it works, it came out of Ian Booths targa altezza and it ran eveything before he took it out.

hey TWSTD how long have u had an altezza?? now can u tell us wat caused the 'limp mode' to kick in? we had 1 in at work a little while ago, ne way the story goes like this. wen u drove it it had very very poor response from the throttle, IE n e thing close to a jab or a tweak made nothing, there was no acceleration till about half pedal then it would slowly rise to about 2000rpm at the most, this is foot flat to the floor. only went to second gear. um, what else.. just a whole heap of weird shit was happening. turned out to b a couple of fuses to do with the TPS etc

so i suggest u rip into the fuse box and check ALL of the fuses, including the big square fuses, if i remember correctly it was 1 of them. the fuse boxes are real difficult to get into aswell.

Re TPS - is there any way i can test the TPS sensor to see if it is functioning normally or if it is indeed faulty?

Turbo tezza - please get in touch and we can discuss the loan and or purchase of your spare ECU. If poss i would like to try installing your ECU prior to purchase just in case the problem is in fact elsewhere.

I think you'll find that the tps will be causing both codes to come up.
Repair/replace the tps and i think you'll find the other codes will be fixed aswell. Trac has a tps signal aswell.

Its not actually my car... it belongs to a friend... its up for sale if anyones keen ;-)

Thanks for the tips people - i also am starting to think the problem is something to do with the throttle / TPS / Traction control system. I could not get a look at the car tonite - hopefully tomorrow.
