No, you're not allowed to remove the airbag, and when you mean height, do you mean as in the dimensions of the plate, or height off the ground?

Lots of people use stickers instead of real number plates,
and it is not legal. Some get away with it possibly but technically it's not allowed at all. no exceptions.
When I was on service drew for the Dunlop Targa rally all competitors were told that if they did not have the correct REAL plates that they could not run!

Ferraris in NZ have a stick on front plate. If you get fined for it by the Police, Continental Cars will pay the fine for you. That's what you call customer support!

Not true, as Evo 6's have it offset as standard. Also, I moved mine on my GT Starlet to the RH side as I had a VR4 FMIC, and never once got questioned or hassled about it. (But they did always pick on the aftermarket rear sway bar)

you can remove your airbag.... but you need a cert
we had a prado that had airbags and something in the electrics failed.. needed new airbags. the guy said stuff that.
came in for a wof with a cert for removed airbags.
no idea why they let him do it but they did!

Actually, I think you will find that provision has now been removed, there was a while where LVVTA could cert air bag removal.

To the best of my knowledge they can't any more.

On my wagon the plate sits on the boot hatch between the tail lights. I want to Pull out the lock & fill in the gap & move the plate onto the kit (When I get it that is).
That chick from Girlspeed that has the black honda (Misbehaven?) Should have the plate between the tail lights except its been filled in with the plate moved. But she would have bought it fron BlingBling like that.
If I did move the plate onto the bumper it would be f*cking low.
I also want to pull out the airbag & put in my TV + Sky decoder in there so when the ignition is on the air bag lid will 'pop' up.

lol, you can move your number plate from its stock position but it has to be easily viewable (cops discretion) and i'm pretty sure it can be off to one side on the front but not the other. can't remember which side though (passenger on evo 6 isn't it?) and i'd be keen to know for sure.
