Hesitant MR2

Postby GTSMR2TURBO » Sat Aug 28, 2004 10:51 pm

My mr2 is really hesitant when it's cold untill it comes on to boost (even then it's quite slow) I changed the spark plugs to try to fix it but it didn't acheive much at all as soon as it warms up it's fine any Idea's. Also Im lookin for a a/c Idler bearing and bracket (thats what toyota told me it was) for a 93 3-sgte, if any one is wrecking a turbo Mr2 I would be happy to take them off your hands for some $.

nothing to worry about, the t/vsv makes sure you get piss all power until all the fluids are up to temp 8)

and dont boost too hard when cold!!!

The car should not hesitate when cold, try replacing leads, cap and rotor if never previously replaced, check timing and replace fuel filter. This should fix your problems, if not check for ecu error codes, faulty AFM or water temp sensors, vacum leaks etc
