In my opinion the 3sge weight stated on the Phil Bradshaw site is very optimistic! It must have had no crank or pistons!
My gen 3 3sge
Block, head and fuel rail only- 128kg
Complete engine - block, head, intake and throttle body, exhaust manifold up to first joint, aircon compressor, alternator, power steering pump, flywheel and clutch, fuel filter, all pulleys, full engine wiring loom and front engine mount (the little one that bolts in between the cambelt covers) - 188kg
