kp60 - needs new engine ??

I have just bought a 1981 kp60 with a 2k i was thinking about dropping in a later model engine from a gt starlet i know it faces the wrong way but i cant think of any other 1.3 turbo to put in i dont want a 1.6 as i want to be different has this engine swap been atempted before ? what things will need to b changed what gear box should i run ?? any other ideas would b great
